Murray United FC is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Technical Director. The role provides leadership and direction in the development of junior players from Under 9 to under 16 and junior coaches via delivery of the NPL junior program.

This role is a rare opportunity to work closely with the Board of Directors at NPL level to develop and drive a culture of success both on and off the field. As a leader with values, integrity and a commitment to professionalism and accountability, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the skill acquisition phase and game training phase at the club.

This is a role that is ideally suited to a person who can demonstrate experience in a similar role and who has established themselves as a leader and is intending to progress their football career. The successful candidate will be well organised, have the ability to work independently and gain the respect of players, parents, coaches, directors and the community.

The position is part-time and includes opportunities for supplementary income and role expansion. The club is also able to assist with relocation and supplementary employment.

Salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • >     Responsible for all aspects of the technical and performance standards of junior players and coaches. This role will work in collaboration with other key roles at the club including the Senior Coach to establish and maintain best practice across the whole club in a professional and competitive environment.
  • >     The Technical Director must be capable of delivering a high performance junior program consistent with FFV NPL license requirements.

Skills & Experience:

  • >     Minimum FFA/AFC B-licence or equivalent and a working knowledge of the FFA curriculum, and willingness to further coaching qualifications to meet NPL criteria.
  • >     Experience working with junior NPL players and a knowledge of their training and competitive requirements.
  • >     Excellent communication skills.

Murray United FC has a number of paid and voluntary positions within the club. There are also opportunities to gain experience supporting board members, working as part of a sub-committee or assisting with reviews, grants, planning or individual projects and tasks.
